The teachers are truly the reason to come to Streamline. Their expertise and passion for sharing their knowledge is limitless. They come form various backgrounds and certifications. Many are dancers, and are certified by the leading Pilates Schools. Such schools include the Kane School of Core Integration, Physical Mind Institute, and The Pilates School of Body Conditioning with master teacher Romana Kryzanowska. In addition, our teachers are also certified personal trainers, massage therapists, and yoga practitioners.
Annie Murphy, creator of Streamline Studio was introduced to pilates as a dancer at North Carolina School of the Arts, where she received her BFA. While pursuing a career in dance, she continued studying pilates. Annie studied with Jennifer Kreis, Romana Kryzanowska, Brooke Silas, Kelly Kane, and anatomy with Irene Dowd. After receiving her certification from the Pilates Studio, Annie still loves sharing her knowledge of pilates with her clients. Opening Streamline Studio has been a completely rewarding and exciting experience.
In addition to Pilates, Ms Murphy enjoys other movement disciples such as dance, yoga, and core fusion.
Jacqueline Tuorto is Certified in both Gyrotonic and Pilates. She is currently part of the teacher faculty of the Kane School of Core Integration and Streamline Studio. Jacqueline is also an American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer. Ms. Tuorto has studied anatomy with Kelly Kane and Irene Dowd. She has an extensive Background in Dance, earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Ballet from Point Park College. Jacqueline enjoys utilizing all of her movement and fitness experience with sound Bio-mechanics to create effective and safe workouts for her clients.
Charlotte Butler Penenberg has been teaching Pilates since 1998. Trained through Physicalmind Institute in New York City, and a member of the Pilates Method Alliance, she has studied with Jean-Claude West, Madeline Black, Irene Dowd and the Pilates Center. She brings 12 years experience in massage and bodywork treating clients suffering from injury and chronic pain to her Pilates practice, and teaches people of all ages and levels‹from those rehabilitating injuries to those who want to stay fit and strong.
